Personal Experience
I've seen how addiction can be wielded unfairly in the most sensitive of arenas, like family court, where the best interests of children should be paramount. I've experienced the pain of loss, not just of time with my children but aspects of my identity due to identity theft and discrimination. Yet, these experiences have only deepened my commitment to support others facing similar trials. My partner's journey with addiction has further opened my eyes to the need for compassionate support within our communities. It's a reminder that behind every statistic, there is a story, a family, and a heart yearning for understanding.
